Hello dear coffee community,

once again an ESAM 5500 M here to fix and stand before a mystery.

Thermoblock 43°OhmNew steam heating installed 52°OhmNew 318° thermostats installed (both)New thermosensor for steam heating installedSwitched on
- heating process - " General
malfunction" - steam heating smells and smokes with heat, because much too hot. Quickly pulled out the plug, everything checked, same values, so completely. Thermoblock also warm. What could be the problem?

Hello, are you sure that no mistake has been made with the extensive cabling? Is the thermosensor correctly mounted with thermal paste? I only know "general malfunction" in connection with defective heating.

Problem solved.

Was as already suspected at the beginning the power board. Called NEW-Kaffeevollautomaten.de, they still had a used one.
Built in, works, finally peace again
