Hello, in April 2016 we bought the machine as a replacement for our then defective Siemens, because we are passionate friends of good coffee. At that time I had concluded a warranty extension to 5 years. So far the machines have done their work wonderfully and without any problems. Now she wanted to be cleaned again, which of course we did as usual. Then suddenly no or hardly any water/coffee comes out of the spout and the pump causes an irregular humming and rattling. So I packed everything in the original box and brought it to my trusted dealer (Saturn). There was a sign on the counter saying that every repair costs 165 Euro. In my case I am curious whether the 70 Euro for the warranty extension will pay off.
I will now use wacko.gifthe old coffee machine again and continue to
report...

It is always advisable to extend the guarantee for fully automatic coffee machines.

The devices are always subject to real wear and tear due to heat and pressure. Sooner or later, repairs will be due.

This is how I see it, too. Unfortunately I also see again and again in other articles that the repair shop says that the error is only due to a lack of care or calcification. Well, we always decalcified and cleaned immediately when the message was displayed. We have also renewed the rubber seals several times and always lubricated them with the right lubricant. The machine ran until the end always totally satisfied. I'm really looking forward to the feedback from Saturn...wink.gif

Hello
, today I have
picked up
the
machine again.

I didn't have to pay anything, the pump was

changed to Garntie. The

70 euros for the warranty extension

were worth it.

The machine sounds a lot quieter now, the coffee is great

, as always. In any case,

we always get a fully automatic machine again, but a simple one, without milk frother and Expresso function

. It's

available

from 300 euros.

Coffee can cook the

all!

GreetingsChris

Does a warranty extension usually include wear parts or wear damage?

I think that real wearing parts, like rubber rings, are not covered by the Gatantie, just like the brake pads of a car.
Likewise, it is also determined during service whether
damage has been caused
by lack of care, e.g. decalcification and
cleaning.

My pump was defective

, it's not a wearing part.

But I also had a funny feeling until the end, because often a calcification or something similar

is mentioned

as the reason

for the damage.

Then

it's not a warranty case anymore.

We always decalcify and clean as soon

as the message arrives.

We have already

changed the

rubbers

several times.

AND: We cleaned and

dried the

machine meticulously before handing it over

! It was

worth

it.

But it's always a game of chance

...

Happy GreetingsChris
