After replacing the brewing unit at Krups EA 9000, error code 13 occurred. After clicking through the Servicemenü´s (via the 4 corners and also the powder button), the machine gets stuck in the service program:

- Flushing in the aisle
- Water filter changed?
=> no matter if yes or no:
- Water circuit is being filled
- Water filter changed?....

>In the menu above the 4 corners the Brewing function lights up red

Do I go in there: Brewing function sensor: Cake thickness INHIBITED. After pressing the Activate and Calibrate buttons, the machine prompts: Put a "Cake tool" in brewing Chamber and press?

What must/can I do? Is it one error or two (Brewing function and if fixed possibly again error code 13?).

Who can help?

Many thanks

Maybe you should tell me what machine you've got. If you have selected your model in this menu I wonder where this is displayed unsure.gif

>bits badly configured the forum here if not even the basic functions work huh.gif

But it's a sufficiently precise value...

I don't know anything about Krups machines, but I could imagine that the machine thinks that the system has to be filled because something doesn't work during the rinsing process. Therefore she asks if the filter was changed or not, and no matter if yes or no, she still doesn't notice that the system is filling up.
With other machines I would have the flowmeter at the top of my list. At least if water also flows out somewhere, but this is not yet clearly described...

Water doesn't flow out. What does the flowmeter look like?

If no water is flowing, there is a blockage somewhere. It is best to follow the waterway from the tank. The water will flow through a component that has an input and an output, as well as a plug with cables. Inside is a kind of turbine. That's the flowmeter. It can be removed and opened for cleaning. Possibly it is blocked...

Other only the constipation helps to search further...

Or can there be a calcification?

...exactly the same button I get displayed in red after I have recently exchanged the brewing unit for a new one...Have you already got a suitable answer?

You may hate to bend a hose during installation?
But it can also be the case that your pump needs a jump start if nothing is clogged.
Just take a syringe with a small hose and connect it to the tank connection, hold small magnets in front of the sensor. (Where the tank magnet should be in the built-in state)
When it starts to pump the syringe, it becomes quieter and comes water then you can push the water tank back in.
When it becomes quieter and quieter your machine is clogged somewhere.

Red display with Brewing function means that your machine receives no or invalid information from the Cake Sickness Sensor.
It looks like this and is from the top left beside the grinder.
Link to a shop
The thing measures how thick your coffee pads are and adjusts the grind amount over and over again, if this sensor is faulty it usually grinds too much and you hate powder in the water bowl at the contacts.
Check if the sensor is connected, then if you can reset it via the menu where you've been.
Other you can go to the French menu and do a full reset.
How to get there you can also find here in the forum: Click me
Other you have to swap it and then reset it again
And I never needed the Cake Sickness Toll, at most once to check that the thing doesn't measure.
