I bought the Nespresso replacement capsules from Esprimo (aka Ethical Coffee Company) from Rewe and used them in my Krupps Nespresso Citiz.

Krups Nespresso Citiz & Milk XN 7106

Tja and now what the manufacturer warns us about has actually happened: An Esprimo capsule has pressed so hard into the Krups machine that I can't get it out. Oh, shit. So I can't use the machine now.

Does anyone have any advice on how to get the capsule out? I've tried to get her out somehow, but I can't do that.

Greetings,

zohan

I wanted to try out the capsules with Rewe, but in a hurry I didn't see them the last time with Rewe. Now, of course, I will think again whether I will try the cheaper capsules.

Are there any news yet? Did you get them out?

leave the capsule lid of the machine open and press the coffee button. if the water pressure does not release the capsule, try levering it out with a knife. the esprimo capsules are a big mess and will permanently destroy the nespresso machines, no matter what esprimo claims!

Hello dear ones

had the same problem today.
I closed the lever with the trapped capsule and ran through a cup two/three times. The capsule then slowly came loose and I was able to get it out!
At any rate, I have the feeling that the capsules are not so optimal for the machine and will therefore stick to the original again. I like the taste better anyway!

Esprimo capsules - finger off As you can read in other forums, these capsules destroy some Nespresso machines. The capsule is too large for the machine and can only be inserted and removed with increased effort. After about 20 capsules, water began to run down the inside of the device into the collection container for the capsules used. With time became more and more, correspondingly less espresso was in the cup. After about 30 capsules we stopped the "experiment" and disposed of the rest in the garbage. Unfortunately, the water runs out now also with the original nespresso capsules.
Fazit: nothing saved, horrible taste, machine defective. I'm curious what Esprimo will say about this... mad.gif

Same problem here:

After only 2 Esprimo capsules, the capsule holder of the Ciitz now no longer closes properly and 25-30% of the water run in in the machine directly into the capsule collector. Result: Machine is scrap mad.gif

We are pretty upset and disappointed by this Esprimo crap....

I also tried the esprimo capsules, which are supposed to be an alternative to nespresso. These, however, are the last scrap! customer service they do not know either. I demolished my Miele machine with it and the service said that they would write that the capsules don't work with all machines, so somewhere in the small print. The Hammer!

Hello together!
I can't say anything negative after three months of suffering. I've never had a capsule stuck, the coffee is super tasty and above all the capsules are not made of ALU! A real ( and ecological) alternative.
By the way, I've read many times that big companies like to present themselves in forums, coincidence?

Hello I can unfortunately only confirm the negative experiences.
I got Esprimo capsules in September to have an alternative. The capsules are said to be degradable.
The first thing you notice is that the closure is much harder to operate.
I used the capsule anyway, as it was supposed to fit.
After 40-50 capsules the machine was defective. The closing mechanism was shifted
so that even original capsules were no longer usable.
The machine has worked before 2 years without objections.

I can only warn anyone against using these capsules !

Hello,

is also an injured party. At Penny I bought 4 boxes of esprimo for 2,00 Euro with 10 capsules each and thought I had made a bargain. This morning then the nasty surprise. One capsule jammed and could only be released from the machine with the aid of a knife. Now the clamping mechanism is defective and the machine is scraping.

Although I don't like to say it - hands away from other manufacturers!

I have also tried Esprimo capsules... In my case they didn't destroy the Nespresso machine, but the capsules don't seem to be really compatible. The coffee ran out of the machine very slowly. But there are now many other alternative coffee capsules besides Esprimo capsules. The other coffee capsules are significantly better than Esprimo waste in terms of compatibility.

i've been using the capsules for over a year and my machine (essenza) is undamaged. occasionally the capsules get stuck, but if you let them cool down for a little while, they go out easily.

The Esprimo capsules in question also cause trouble in the Nespresso Citiz. I also ruined my machine (Citiz) with it (water runs into the capsule container).
Single good advice on my part: fingers off the capsules!
