Hi, everyone.

I got a Jura J9 as a present today. It makes funny noises when starting

Here is a video about it.

Sounds like a gearbox right?

Greetings Buncher

Sounds like a broken motor mount. Best to unscrew and look.

I have the exact same noise (find video here:

)

It doesn't appear to be the motor mount (see pictures below). Any thoughts?

Thats the solenoid from the drainage valve.

In the solenoid is a brass sleeve what. you must tighten the brass sleeve.

@schlawi; are you absolutely sure? I could've bet a lot on it being the motor (as the motor also appears to get 'stuck' when the noise is there)

Yeah, 90%. Just pull off a plug on the solenoid, insulate well and try again. If the noise is gone then it is the solenoid.
It may be that the brewing unit runs heavily down and up, because the air can not escape.

It is indeed the solenoid for the drainage. After removing it the noise was gone. The solenoid does work well, so I tried to figure out what the problem was. I found that the white valve button on the drainage valve is not properly aligned to where the solenoid actuates to (see image). I guess I must somehow misplaced the brew group a few millimeters...

But that looks good so far as I see it.
At the brewing unit is the lower screw on the drainage valve yes in? There is nothing more you can do.
Look at the brass sleeve in the solenoid valve whether the can turn.
