Gaggia Classic and Selecta Deluxe Assembly

Hi guys,
I have disassembled both the Classic and the Selecta Deluxe and as soon as the new parts arrive I will have to reassemble them. Do I need some kind of grease to put on the gaskets and threads before reassembling everything?
Also since the Selecta Deluxe which does not have stainless steel frame like the Classic did rust in some places is it the case to brush the areas and paint them with zinc spray paint?

Hello for the seals / O-rings use food-safe Silikonfeet, which is a bit expensive but holds very long in the known places.
If you have already dismantled the KVA's, I would treat the rust spots properly.
Possibly also, depending on what you can or want.
