Which way round? Inserting grinder

I’ve taken grinder out of my machine to clean,and reinstalled.it is refusing to grind coffee
My question is this:
Could I have inadvertently reversed the two black wires,in which case how can I tell the difference?
When reinstalling grinder, there are several black markings on the plastic,how do I know insertion has been correct?nserting grinder
