Water quantity cannot be changed

We have had the Magifika S from De Longhi for about 3 years now.
Now our coffee is very watery for a few days and also about 1/4 more of it in the cup.
You can regulate the strength with the knob, but why is it that suddenly too much water runs through. Now the cups are overflowing...

Open the flowmeter and clean it.

I also had a coffee machine once where that happened. I had the cleanings fix the malfunction.
