Hello dear members you in the forum,

before this forum is really great and helps you really in many matters further.

I stand now shortly before a coffee machine purchase. Since several weeks

I read myself into the world of fully automatic coffee machines and find 2 machines in particular very interesting

1.) WMF 1000 per s

2.) Jura giga 5

The WMF is now also significantly lower in price and is now available for about 2080 €.

Multiple experience reports to follow, but the WMF should not have the best quality

and often broken. However, the WMF brewing unit should be easy to remove

for cleaning. This should not be possible with the Jura.

DIe Jura is also clearly more expensive.

We are a 4-person household and already drink 30-40 cups of coffee a day.

Also, coffee cream and especially latte macchiato

What would you advise me? The WMF or rather the Jura?

And where are the real differences between the machines?

Or is the extra price in the Jura simply because it is Jura.

Thank you in advance and I look forward to your answers img src='/forums/html/emoticons/laugh.gif' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' />

there's hardly any pomace to empty and water refill
yes after!

The WMF 1000 per s I don't know, but the Giga 5 is a
household machine and not designed for 10000 cups a year.

Hello dear ones thanks first,

that with the 40 cups was shot from the hip... laugh.gif

But we're already coffee drinkers and 2-3 pots like this are already gone.

I'm really interested in the difference between the Jura Giga 5 and the WMF 100 per s.

Why is the Jura so significantly more expensive?

Get a break thanks to

The Jura GIGA is mainly so expensive because it is 2 JURA Z.The GIGA has two flowmeters, two pumps and two separate heating systems and 2 grinders.
Uch think a Jura Z would also be enough for domestic use the GIGA is a bit over-dimensonated and you do not have to have two grinders and the cleaning and maintenance effort in a GIGA is certainly even more like a normal "household KV"

Hello Ristretto,

thanks for the quick response.

Had a look at the IMPRESSA Z9 One Touch TFT and I have to say it looks very reasonable.

For which would you decide, rather for the WMF or the Jura.

Ok, the Jura is then only 200€ more expensive.

There are any advantages that the Jura has over the WMF, or is it purely a matter of taste.

And you have to send the Jura e.g. to clean the brewing unit?

Dear thanks and a dear greeting

Hello Tomy,
I have been owner of a Jura Impressa Z5 for 4 years.
The brewing unit for cleaning cannot be removed from this machine. The machine automatically requires cleaning after a certain number of covers. Then you have to start the cleaning program and insert a special Jura cleaning tablet into the powder coffee compartment. The machine then carries out the cleaning automatically. All the steps you need to perform are shown on the display of the machine. I had to do the cleaning repeatedly during the last 4 years, but every time without problems.

greeting

Recently I have also dealt with these questions in detail.

We recently had the Jura J 9.3
The service of Jura is exemplary, I have not experienced anything like this before, very big compliment at this point.
When we enjoyed 90% of Jura dairy products, they were always excellent.
Until they more or less gave up the spirit.

Then I looked around for other manufacturers. Miele was still interesting, as the only manufacturer known to me, it offers a warranty extension.
With our demands on usability, etc., Miele only offers one built-in appliance, and my wife didn't want that.

Not too long later we landed at the WMF 1000 pro S.
This has some points, which are nevertheless very interesting. For example, the cleaning function of the milk system, the BG is exemplary to remove and all in all it made a very well thought-out and very high quality impression on us. I was already tempted to buy them.
Before I realized this, however, I generally came across two unsightly points on the Internet: the service and the milk foam
This unsettled us again.

Then we took a closer look at the Giga 5.
Because the service we already experienced created trust.
And afterwards I took a closer look at the technique.
Here a short objection to a comment above: a double "Z" that's just nonsense!
The Jura J and Z series are very similar, e.g. grinders etc.
The Giga, comes from the bistro area, and with the Giga 5 was built a "small" for private consumers.
The ceramic disc grinders, for example, have nothing to do with those of the J or Z, but it would surprise me if one had developed for the 5 other than those used in the Giga 7.
The tanks are all smaller but with the rest it reminds me very much of the Giga 7
And yes the Giga all have everything double for the sake of speed and variability.
And at the end still the full price.

After some conversations with my wife we decided for the Giga 5.
So I hope it arrives today.

Hello,

We have in our office the WMF 800 and are satisfied. However, it is not possible to obtain spare parts from WMF. The machine must be returned as WMF does not offer on-site service for private customers! This is to be considered and a no go for us. But we should also have been better informed in advance. So far there are about 30000 cups through and we had no problems except for the jammed grinding mechanism. Removing and cleaning the grinding mechanism takes approx. 1 hour. No idea what the service requires ;-)
