Hello,

I have had a Siemens EQ.9 s500 fully automatic coffee machine for just over a year.

The machine has already been repaired twice, after about eight months with a defective ceramite valve, after about 14 months with a broken grinder, whereby the brew group was also replaced. But that's just a side note.

I do a basic cleaning every three weeks, as I have found out through trial and error that the first mould forms in the machine after about four weeks.

The mould is mainly due to the fact that an appropriate environment is formed in the machine by damp pomace, heat and lack of air circulation.

Now I know from the PC construction small, flat fans, which are little or not at all to hear. A quick search on the internet showed that such fans are also available for humid environments (protection class IP55). Apparently there are also KVAs that are equipped with a fan.

Has anyone ever tried to install a fan in his KVA, maybe even in an EQ.9?

Many greetings from Hamburg

Sascha
