SPIDEM Trevi Chiara runs out

Posted by: benderos May 16, 2023 11:29 am

Hello,

my neighbor has left me his old SPIDEM Trevi Chiara from his shed with the statement is defective.

This I have disassembled and thoroughly cleaned.

At the first attempt to let out a coffee, the grinder did something difficult, it smelled like "heavily loaded engine" and from the crema nozzle came only a few drops. The rest ran into the drip tray.

I ordered a seal kit and replaced the seals so far.

Now coffee comes into the cup, but water still runs out.

What can this be?

Hello, which seal did you change, including the one on the brewing nozzle?
I would always buy a new one, at least with purchased KVA's because you never know.
Clean the brewing sieves, remove the brewing sieves and put dishwasher detergent in a cup of brewing sieves on it and pour hot water over it. After ten minutes, they are like new.
That some water ends up in the drip tray is quite normal.
What about the pomace, wet or dry and pressed like Puks?

Greetings Chris
