How important is coffee machine design to you?

Well, I have to admit, I've been dazzled by good design. Of course the inner values have to be right, but if the design is bad and the choice of materials is of bad quality, then even the best coffee can come out below... Coffee enjoyment is not only something for the mouth, but in my opinion also something for the eye.

How do you see it?

some KVA´s are dirty finches, because the dear constructors have completely grasped into the ceramics. They already had KVA`s that they stank so they had to stay outside.
And only after a real complete cleaning I rebuild them.
With a KVA known to me this problem was not necessarily from the operator
but from the discharge of the brewing group.
So after a coffee day it had to be painted again from the inside, not to forget the brewing group.
Coffee, that doesn't taste good with the knowledge.

As you know, beauty lies in the eye of the beholder Anyway, I first look at the technical data to see if it meets my requirements. At the end comes the design.

I see it the same way. As far as colour is concerned, you can't do so much wrong with black or silver. From the general design point of view, there are machines where I also let myself be influenced more by it than by the "inner values". A friend had once ordered the http://www.ekinova.de/kaffeezubereitung/kaffeevollautomaten/ Perfecta ESAM 5400 on ekinova due to the green design. Didn't appeal to me at all but that's a good example. Even if she is convinced of the quality.

The design doesn't play an important role for me either, but nevertheless I would prefer a nice device, like this for example, as long as the device prepares a perfect latte or mocha or just normal coffee in great quality.

Surely quality plays a bigger role than design of the machine but most machines are already technically mature so far that one hardly notices a difference between the devices. The best are still the good old machines but no one can afford them anymore they have meanwhile collector value
