Hello,

I've been reading through the forum for a few days now, because I'm about to buy a KVA. The Senseo machine used so far has done its duty.

My budget is max. € 1.000,- and of course I would like to buy the best possible device for this sum.

My wife drinks 4 cups of coffee a day and I average 2 cups a day on weekdays and 4 cups a day on weekends.

It would be nice if the machine could make coffee latte, latte macchiato and cappuccino without much effort and would be easy to handle and clean.

Which device do you recommend to me based on this information?

We also have the possibility to buy a Jura Impressa Z 5 as an exhibit from the local electronics market. The device is not used and only the original carton is missing. The seller has offered us the Jura machine for € 998,- (it is not yet the 2@1 model).

Fits this machine to our wishes and is this an attractive offer?

Many thanks for your advice in advance!!

Justus

Hello Justus,

>I would take a Z5 for about 1000 Euro immediately. We have the same machine in the kitchen. She is now about 5 years old, makes about 15 cups a day and had no significant defects yet. It is comparatively quiet and makes mixed milk drinks at the touch of a button.

Have exactly the same question. Only without the Z5 option.

Decision runs probably on the Saeco Primea Touch Plus or the DeLonghi ESAM 550.

What I like about the DeLonghi is the milk container (Saeco too small and without lid for refrigerator). But the Saeco also fits larger latte glasses underneath and 2 drinks can be prepared at the same time.

Who can help me? Or is there another alternative?

P.S: What is needed is "easiest" operation and uncomplicated handling of milk.

The Saeco is a bit fragile and with the ESAM 5500 you have to keep in mind that only the keys "My Coffee" and "Cappuccino" allow you to program the amounts individually. The remaining reference keys are preset to non-changeable quantities. It's stupid if they don't match your own coffee cups.
The models 3500/3600/4500 are technically identical, except for the other operating concept and design. For this purpose, the quantities can be set individually for all reference keys.

Greeting
Gregor

Tach,

>so my opinion:

1. Never again Jura ! (Had Z5 repair orgy behind me)
2. Of the "new" Saeco`s not really good heard

I'd buy these in your place Phillips is technically a DeLonghi and for
this sum is worth a try !

But I can't give you any information about the service of Philips.

Yes, I do. But there's no room for big latte glasses under there.

So what? There are a lot of other glasses that fit underneath and make the Latte Macchiato taste just as good.

And, by the way: If you want to make it correctly Italian, you have to make smaller glasses anyway. Original glasses as large as here in D are not used.
And since the DeLonghi-VA are real Italian products (Northern Italy) the outlets have not been adapted to German conditions. That's why you can't get 250ml pots with DeLonghis, 180ml is the limit. In Italy the drinking habits are different.

Gregor

Moin,
"Gregor agree"
got the DeLonghi package with the 2 Latte glasses and the Espressi cups
and can only say: absolutely sufficient, if necessary I make myself a second, which is warmer then again.
As I wrote before, the high glass and the hydropeaking function is not worth the extra charge in my opinion.
The 6700 is only available in D and Ö.
For me, the 6600 is the best fully automatic coffee maker I have ever had and there have been a few of them.
The disadvantage is: I drink even more coffee tongue.gif

Ever thought about the Philips HD5730?

I was faced with the same decision as you.

The HD5730 is identical in construction to the ESAM 6600 and is available at Amazon at a bargain price of 696 including shipping.
I can't recommend a SAECO to you, my friend bought the Primea Ring New Edition 2 months ago. Until last WE he swore on the machine but now it is already with the first repair.

I have changed now from the Jura F70 to the HD and am enthusiastic, coffee is at least just as good and even really hot.

Ach yes and the coffee quantity or even milk quantity can be adjusted for each button separately!
