Sour coffee after descaling/cleaning

,I hope someone can help me here.
I have done the cleaning with the appropriate Melitta cleaning tablet according to instructions and also the descaling, also with appropriate Melitta descaling agent. However, the cleaning tablet was a bit older and I didn't think it could possibly matter. The coffee now tastes sour after felt 100 times rinse and quite a few cleaning program runs without tablet, it is now already better than at the beginning, since it has only tasted like citric acid, but still not edible, what could be to blame? :-(
