Hello folks, I
have been ordering the appropriate descaling agent from
the same brand
for my DeLonghi fully automatic machine for several years
, which is of course recommended by the manufacturer, and I always descale immediately when it is required to achieve the longest possible life of the machine.

My question now is whether I

should

really

order

the recommended

product every time on the Internet, or whether a conventional universal descaling agent from the super/drugstore market can achieve exactly the same effect?!!! Who knows or has experience with it?
Thanks in advance.

Descale it with what makes you feel good.

I always take the cheap liquid descaler from DM... it has 250ml... then I fill up with water (mostly up to 500ml) and decalcify...

It only costs one euro and works... but I only have water hardness 1-2....

I've had good experience with amidosulfonic acid.
Amidosulfonic acid (in concentrations of 10-15%, often 14%) is a component of decalcifiers (usually in addition to phosphoric acid or citric acid). 5kg cost about 25€!
