Melitta Caffeo Solo draws water incessantly

Dear all
,I hope you have an idea what my problem is.

I cleaned the inside of the machine. Then I turned it on and it immediately pulled the water out of the tank and directs it to the drip tray (inside). It does not stop at all. Even when I remove the water tank, it keeps pumping. I can only stop it by turning the machine off. When I turn it back on, it immediately starts again.
I have tried all the button combinations. It does nothing.
Any ideas?
