Mayday, mayday. My Krups EA8038 fully automatic no longer grinds. The motor of the grinder runs when no beans are filled. He tortures himself briefly with beans and then stops. Unfortunately, I don't know how to remove the grinding stones in order to clean them thoroughly (the grinding mechanism is already dismantled). I have to somehow block the millstone to loosen the mother. If the millstones are worn out: Does anyone know where I can get a replacement? Most of the time they want to sell me the complete grinder, if it is available for this device at all. Maybe fit other millstones. Grinder: Eldom Rothrist EL60.
Thanks!!
Axel

Hello Axel,

how to remove and clean the grinding ring can be found in this article.
change grinding cones and grinding stones you can read here. Please note: Left-hand thread

If this is not successful, a new motor must be used.

Hello,

click simply on "Answer", then the links are active again. Alternatively you would have to zap through "Member name" and "All posts by this member".
Unfortunately, the links have been disabled by default, which certainly doesn't make the search any easier. sad.gif

Hello ,

no the grinder has a plastic distributor with teeth these transport the coffee from the grinder.

This part wears very much with the new generations.

The part costs 10 € and must only be exchanged .

Hello Hayabusa717
can you name a source where this "Mahlstern" made of plastic costs 10€?
The only one I want to have found on ebay is 26,99€. I think it's a bit expensive if you consider that the whole grinder costs 75€...

Un then another question to ALL who can answer it:

For example, Ebay offers a new version 5 or also called v5.2 grindstones, which are shaped a bit differently and are supposed to achieve a better crema by different grinding degrees.
Does anyone already know that or has used it or could recommend it?
Simply enter it on Ebay in the search "repair set V5.2 millstones".

Thanks for any feedback(s), hopefully not after "years" ;-)

Hello, I also have the EA8038. I also had all my teeth broken from the meal star. Unfortunately, I have to admit that this has been announced. The grinding mechanism had always sounded a bit tortured during grinding and with the double cup the machine went to the autotest more and more often after the first cup. Think that came from the pomace that wasn't so cleanly pressed anymore and that when you lit it up there was a lot of coffee powder to see.
The question I'm asking myself now, I just had to dismantle the grinder in time and clean it to prevent that, say now a new star and everything is good again or indicates that there are worn grindstones and the broken grindstones is just a secondary reaction ? Or another completely different cause for the autotest problem after the first cup ?

If someone still has the problem with the defective transport star in the grinder, I ordered a 3D print of the part due to a lack of alternatives. The template has already been posted here in another thread. The link : https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2086504
From there I ordered the part at sculpteo.com for 10,60 € incl. shipping. Was there after a good week, until now it holds...

Many thanks for the information. I am getting quotes for the 3D printed part.
