Coffee quality decreases

Hello everyone, I have a Melitta Cafffeo Ci for 6 years (about 10000 covers).
The machine works so far but the coffee quality leaves much to be desired.
Especially with the first coffee I have the feeling that it is very watery and also the crema is missing. In the cups always remains a somewhat unsightly edge.
The following considerations:
1. Machine throw away - buy new

2. Melitta Delux Service 109 € (all seals / valves) are replaced

3. Do it yourself, do you have any tips on what it could be ?

Thanks already

Hello guest Christina.
How does it look the grinding degree? Crystal sugar similar condition?
Grinding quantity? I think there is everything as you have set them.
It could be that the grinding stones are blunt. These can be replaced. Grinding stones are relatively good to get on the bay for 25 €.
You have to open the machine. Then I would rather take the Melitta service.
After 5 years it should certainly still be worth it to send this KVA to the service.

Otherwise about PN if you want to dispose of them.

So the painting degree is set to very fine, but the coffee grounds look quite coarse

Hello, then the grinder would first have to be disassembled and cleaned, readjusted.
Instructions can be found on the I-Net. You can also check the grindstones for sharpness I do it with my finger. Certainly with the upper grindstone removed.
Many swear by the fingernail test...
So then go ahead and Torx 10 and 15 procured but please not the cheap ones, as these have high tolerances. Just as a note...

MfG Chris
