Hello all,

Have come across your forum and am hoping for community help with my problem.

I have a Siemens KVA eq6 300 and for a few days now the machine has been showing the message "refill beans" even though the bean hopper is full. Just ignoring it and continuing to press start, the coffee is made normally.

I have cleaned the brewing unit, cleaned the bean hopper and reset the machine via service menu. None of this has helped. After browsing div forums I have run out of ideas other than disassembling the machine to clean the grinder. Before I go that far, I am asking for your help and tips.

Btw. have read, you can reset the grinder, as follows.
- Coffee fill quantity regulator on small espresso set-
powder shaft drawer pull out-
then button OFF and START button both hold down and simultaneously turn on the device

.

In doing this, it is not clear to me how to "set the regulator to small espresso".

Thanks for any help.

I had previously try to prepare the espresso and then perform the above steps. But only the message "please restart the device" came up.
But it did not help.

Sometimes the message disappears when the grinding degree is set finer on the bean compartment.
Otherwise, the only thing to do is to disassemble the machine, remove the grinder and bend the corrugated ring under the lower grinding disk so that it is more corrugated.

Today I was able to disassemble the grinder and bend the ring. I assembled the grinder and was able to test successfully. The preparation no longer interrupted and no message "refill beans".

After the fairing was on, the machine simply can not be switched on. When you turn it on, you only hear a soft crack, the display stays black. I could not call up the service menu. I have visually checked all connectors, they are all tight and no sign of cable breakage is detectable.

Where else could I look?

Thanks for your tips.
