Bad coffee or bad machine? Philips 2224/10

Hello everyone,

I bought for Christmas for my wife and myself a Philips 2224/10 machine that seemed to meet my expectations. However, since I started it, the coffee that comes out is not at all to my taste. Too clear and no taste (water).

The coffee seemed like that from the beginning and so I gradually adjusted the grinder wheel towards the finest coffee (I must be at 2 or 3 now).

Do you think that I may have gone too fast in lowering the grinder and that it is better that I retest towards a smaller wheel or does the machine seem to be defective?

I tried with another coffee of the same brand but nothing worked...
