Hello,

I have a Siemens EQ5 TE515501DE which has just exceeded the 2 year limit by 3 months and I don't know if I can still count on the goodwill of Siemens.

The error that occurred yesterday is that when trying to obtain coffee the grinder works normally, but the brewing group does not make any noise and the display shows the message "Restart necessary".

The manual says what "machine too hot" or "brewing group dirty" ... but it can't be either.

We have already cleaned the brewing group again + added grease, but unfortunately the error remains.

Hot water is still available, as is the steam cover. When the machine is rinsed, the error also occurs.

I've already tried to understand more exactly via the service menu what the error can be and suspect that the brew group motor has made the slide, because when trying to drive the brew group up the relay switches audibly, but no motor movement occurs!

Since I don't want to order spare parts unnecessarily now, I wanted to ask if someone knows the error and what kind of defect it indicates (ceramic valve could also be)?

I hope I have provided all necessary information, if something is still missing, please let me know :-)

Many thanks already!

Hi

I'm experiencing the same issue and had mine for service.
It was the brewingunit that has failed.
It got stuck in the brewingposition and couldn't go back to it's startposition.
Now, the same message appears again after about 20 cups.
- Annoying...

Contact the serviceprovider.
You'll find it in the instructionbook at the last 3 pages or so.

Can't give you more help than that, sorry.
I have the same problem again...huh.gifSiemens EQ.5 (TE502506DE)
