esam 4000B brewing unit is stuck at the bottom.

Hello first,

I have the following problem. We have at work the fully automatic Esam 4000B from delonghi. 2 weeks ago the brewing unit drove down after making coffee and stayed there instead of driving back to the starting position. After a few attempts to raise the machine in test mode and turn it up by hand, we ordered a new motherboard. Now after the installation the machine still has the same problem and we don't know what to do anymore.

I hope you can help us to get our beloved caffeinated hot drink again.

PS.: if we turn up the brewing unit by hand and connect it to the power supply again the unit will shut down completely.

Either one of the limit switches is defective or the drive is over. Remove
BG and shake the holder. Can you move them on the wave?

Just now I tried the limit switch and it seems to work because as soon as the switch is pressed the motor stops turning. He just doesn't get the impulse to boot up. The shaft has minimal play. Cleaned everything up, too. What's the little circuit board in front of the engine for?

There are 2 limit switches installed.

Ohhh, where's the second one??? Only found the one down behind the engine.

the other limit switch is installed at the upper brewing cylinder. To get there, you have to unscrew and remove the thermoblock with brewing cylinder.

It can be done without unscrewing the thermoblock. Remove the lid and you're done.
