Hello Fabian,
my Barista T behaves identically: First, the brew group could no longer be inserted, which I could also solve with some vegetable oil. After that, the bang described by you often happened when switching on the machine. Machine age approx. 3 years, 7000 brews.
It's clearly the brew group that's banging, and it's when the brown insert goes from tilting to moving upwards. This brown insert is guided with 2 metal (bronze?) bearing cubes that are about 1 cm edge length. I have re-lubricated these bearing cubes or their track with silicone grease (Q-tip), since then it seems to be quiet. I haven't found any real cause like wear or mechanical defect or wear, so I hope it was just a lubrication problem, which occurred almost at the same time as the other lubrication problem at the drive gear of the brew group. Post to see if that helps you too.
