Good evening
, I own a Melitta Barista TS Smart and use an original water filter as we unfortunately have very hard water (24 dh). Now I wanted to ask Eucj how far the filter can affect the taste of the coffee and whether it makes sense to do without the filter with such hard water
.

Hello,

the water filter already changes the taste of the water, especially with hard water you should notice this clearly.

Of course the unit can also be operated without a water filter, there are regulations for descaling which protect the unit reliably even without a water filter.
