Cap of the brewing system

Can't get the cap off the brewing system!

Have the machine bought used a few days ago! Am excited, want to rinse the brewing unit with water and do not get the flap off! On flap is indeed step 1 and 2! Get cap but not off! Can someone help me? Lgh
