Hello
,I have a question about my Jura Impressa C5 machine. I wanted to make me a coffee early as always, now I can no longer push the coffee collection container through to the back. Have then started the machine without the container and then all lamps light up red. Have then times the side parts removed to see what's going on. After switching on, the brewing unit (large white gear) goes down 3x and up again and then ends with a clacking noise.
Anyway, there is a brown lever at the back of the housing that prevents the container from being pushed in further.
Can someone please give me a hint if the machine is still salvageable!
I say now already thanks to all
.

Greetings Hendrik

Hello Hendrik, so the KVA is salvageable, since you have already opened it I would take out the brewing unit and completely overhaul it. Instructions and parts are available on the I-Net.

MfG Chris

Hello Chris,

thanks for your tip! I already thought that it must be related to the brewing unit.
I have left the drip tray open for a long time so that nothing molds.
I have already watched a Youtube video how I operate the thing out. Make me then to the work....

Thanks and greetings from me...Hendrik

I have after hours of watching Youtube videos the brewing unit removed and revised. Old swine...easy it was not!
After installation, I just did a quick function check and it so far everything worked. The rinse worked, but I did not prepare coffee. I assumed that everything was working.
Then I screwed the box and wanted to make a test coffee. All of a sudden it does not work. After switching on, the wide red LED under the control dial immediately lights up permanently and it goes no further. I put the machine on its side when assembling so that I can better mount the side parts. Is this because of this?
I honestly don't know where to start now. Can't find any useful advice on the net either.
Does anyone know what I can do to get this thing going again?

Thanks for the answers

.

Greetings Hendrik

P.S.
I forgot, if I turn the dial to the left, it starts purring and no drop of water comes out of the milk fro
ther!

Hello, I would again take out the brewing unit and check that it does not move over the pawls. Could be that you have overlooked something when assembling?but look at it first.
The red indicator is care indicator according to the manual. Cleaning with coffee remover tablet and Or,.
Do you operate this KVA with a filter?
If so, remove the filter and dispose of it. Then check how high the water hardness is and then decalcify 3x times with amidosulfonic acid-based decalcifier.

Hi and thanks for your quick reply.

I operate the machine with a filter Claris Blue.
But how should I decalcify the, it comes nirgens more water through. As I said, everything went before the assembly, at least I have tested once. I think that the brewing unit works so far, because before that is not driven into the home position and the coffee drip tray could not be pushed through to the back. But that works now.

That in a nutshell...

Then I would say you check the waterways. Or maybe the pump has now given up the ghost.

Take out the filter... and try again.

Hello Kaffeechris,

you are probably a god or something....

I turned off the car yesterday Sunday night totally frustrated and dreamed all night about the error. Earlier I turned it on again and suddenly the right red light flashed, then turned the dial to the left and then water ran out of the milk frother again. Turned straight again, then everything was back to normal. Have since done a descaling as you recommended...let's see if it works then.
I'll report back here.
In any case, thanks again for your valuable tips!

greetings Hendrik
