Surpresso s40

Hi , I'm having an issue with my surpresso s40, machine doesn't grind beans and it says add beans even though the container is full. I have taken it to siemens and was told that the control module needs to be replaced but they cannot source the parts anymore as they have been discontinued. Any advice?

Are you sure that the control unit is defective and not the grinder?
What happens with a powder coating with powder. Is the machine running
there?

Otherwise check Ebay to find another machine and rebuild the control unit if it is really defective.

Not entirely sure if it is the control module,but that is what i have been told by the service department after they inspected it. It does however work fine when using ground coffee.
