Krups EA82 no longer works

I have the following problem.

We connected the coffee machine to a power generator at a garden party, it smoked a little and then went out. It seems that the

generator is

delivering

too much voltage.
I took the machine apart and found out that this error does not occur anymore when I remove the plug J4 from the GSM 0300143 board. I then disconnected the motor from the connector J4 and plugged the connector in again. And the error does not appear any more. I have the voltage on the wires that go to the motor and the meter shows about 16V AC

If someone had a hint where the error

could be. I
