Melitta Caffeo Barista T : coffee impossible ?

Posted by: sbac85230 March 01, 2021 08:58 pm

Good morning, everyone,

I'm new to this forum and I hope I can find some help.
I am so far a happy owner of a MELITTA CAFFEO BARISTA T which has always worked quite well with 9526 drinks and
only one extraction unit replaced
.

Problem: as of today, it doesn't want to know anything more and refuses to work properly. I will go into more detail: for some time now, the intensity setting has not been working properly, if we chose a setting other than 4 bars, the machine would start grinding the beans and then send the water and then a message would indicate INTERRUPT without any other information than to put coffee when the bins were full and since today we systematically get this message regardless of the settings made Someone
would have an idea knowing that we have done a thorough cleaning of the machine and do a lot of research on the internet
.

Moreover, this machine suits us very well and we would like to make it last a few more years if possible?
Thank you in advance for your helpSylvain

Hello Sylvain,

it could be that the upper microswitch for the end position of the upper brewing piston no longer switches correctly (is oxidized).
Then always comes the message abort when preparing a coffee and then the message "Please refill beans", although the bean compartment is full.

Either work on the Mircoswitch with contact spray (you can also try it in the installed state, but please without power!!!) or replace it.

If you take out the brewing unit you can see two small switches, one in the back area and one in the front upper area. ( The upper one triggers this error )

Greetings Alex
