Descaling Krups EA 8000 series

Can descaling be triggered manually?

Hello, everybody,

For years I have had a Krups EA from the 8000 series. Until now, the machine has never wanted to be descaled (for 6 years at the highest degree of hardness). However, according to the operating instructions, descaling can only be carried out when the CALC lamp is flashing. Is
there a trick with which the descaling process can also be triggered manually, e.g. by pressing a
button combination?
The normal cleaning with the cleaning tablets requests the machine
regularly.
