Powder in the brewing unit

HelloWe
have for many years the Melitta CI. A few months ago we changed the brewing unit (bought directly from Melitta in the factory outlet). Since then, we have the problem that any amount of powder goes alongside and we find this amount in the brewing unit and in the drip tray.
What can be the cause of this and is there a way to prevent this in the future?
If more information is needed, it's not a problem.
