Hello,

I pulled out and cleaned the brewing group of the coffee machine for the first time today. Then back inside and start the coffee machine. Then you heard some strange noises. On the display red light and "system error 8". Then I switched off the appliance again and pulled out the brewing group again. Here comes the problem...I couldn't use the flowering group anymore, because it doesn't fit... I think it's super funny.

Could someone tell me how I can repair it myself, or I should have the device repaired in the repair shop.

The machine still has warranty, but in a workshop the repair probably takes a long time....

I thank you in advance for the answers.

Hello,

I assume that system error 8 means a wrongly positioned brewing group. That would explain your current problem. As far as I know, there is a key combination that allows the machine to return to the home position. Refer to the troubleshooting section of the operating instructions.

Hello!

Today I also got the benefit of the system error 8.
Red display strange noises from the machine,
and when I took out the brewing group I already noticed that
there was something strange. As soon as I pulled her a piece out,
she didn't go back in, so I had no choice but to take her out completely. At first sight I couldn't find anything
exceptional, only that the lever to lock the
brew group can't be moved anymore.

Any experiences or tips in this matter??

If anyone else has the problem:

had called the Melitta hotline today,
which in my opinion is the best hotline in the world,
as far as waiting time, competence etc. is concerned, that's just by the way... biggrin.gif

In any case, the good woman at the other end advised me to switch on the appliance with the brewing group
removed, then at the top right of the large drive wheel,
which sits rather centrally, in the pear-shaped recess,
in which you can see a white plastic part, press down on it until you reach a
switch/button. If you press it, the device beeps,
then keep it pressed until the wheel turns back and forth and comes to a standstill
.Now insert the brewing group again, lock it and it's done!
In any case it worked for me. I hope I could or can
help someone with it.

Many thanks for the tip with the above mentioned switch. In my case the brewing unit unblocked itself again.

Wanted to thank me for the great tip on system error 8. With me the brewing group did not go after the normal cleaning any more purely. Then I tried the tip with the small white switch and as from Zauberland it worked again. Thank you very much biggrin.gif

...also I just want to be "Thank you".
Had system error 8 in the display this morning and the brewing group was no longer adjustable.

I already cursed because I had just cleaned the machine anew and take it apart every week.

Thanks to the forum and the error description I'm enjoying my cappuccino again.

Many thanks for the description.
Otherwise the week would have started really badly.

Love greetings
Ramona

Unfortunately, the procedure from above did not help me, so I called again. The support could also help me:

1. Remove brewing unit
2. Switch on the appliance
3. Press the following buttons simultaneously [ON] + [MYCOFFEE]
3 for more than two seconds [ON] + [MYCOFFEE]
--> you should now hear the movement of the drive.
4. After the drive has come to rest brewing unit again.

after that my appliance was ready for operation again.

Super help !!!
Many thanks for sharing the information.

When they came to the media market, they said there was nothing you could do yourself. I should send the machine in.

Fuck off, biggrin.gif

Now it runs again

Thanks a lot!

German is not my native language, but I understand it well enough to follow this procedure.

In my case I had to press the contact twice to make it fit, and after that cleaning finished without system error 8.

Now the machine works perfect again smile.gif

Hello.
With this procedure the power electronic is only persuaded to be available before the brewing group.

Please switch off the KVA before internal cleaning and removal of the brewing group and pull the mains plug against unintentional switching on.

MfG Chris
