No message Refill coffee beans DeLonghi

Posted by: Rager01 January 03, 2024 11:46 am

Hello,

We have been using a new DeLonghi Eletta Explore machine for 2 weeks now.
At the beginning and I think the next time I used it, the display also showed that coffee beans needed to be refilled.
Now there is no longer a display when the compartment is empty. The grinding process is running, but logically sounds completely different without beans.
Support said I would have to send the machine in.

Does anyone have any tips on whether I can fix this myself?

Hello, let the grinder run empty ten times. So do not refill any beans.
After the tenth time, refill the beans again (small cups of beans) and then the display could appear again.

Ok, I can try it. So making coffee 10 times without beans?
And why 10 times? What could be the reason?

Hello, maybe it is due to the current consumption of the grinder motor which is stored in the EPROM of the circuit board. Just do it like this. smile.gif

Hello,
I have now tested the whole thing again.
The machine behaves as follows:
The last coffee (when the beans are empty) is very thin, not real coffee.
When I then want to make another cup, I get the message that the bean compartment is empty.
Is this normal? So I couldn't grind 10 times empty...

Hello, empty the bean compartment and then do what I wrote.
Ignore "Bean compartment empty" and get your coffee.
Otherwise you will have to send it in.
Good luck
