Moin together!

For years my wife and I have been slaving away at the subject of fully automatic coffee machines - and have repeatedly discarded it because of the high purchase price. Last weekend we offered the Saeco Picobaristo incl. care set and 2kg coffee and we hit it, also because the machine is nice compact (in width).

Since month it is here now and has been tested intensively. Everything is good for my taste buds! I also think the operation is well thought out, although the separate milk carafe has the disadvantage that the glass/cups etc. have to be moved a little depending on the drink, so that milk foam and coffee outlet also hit. Gift, I can live with.

What annoys me is the low issue amount. In my opinion we have rather small Latte Macchiato glasses and in the factory settings they are only half full. The memo function can be used to store individual output quantities, but manual intervention also means that the mixing ratio is lost. I don't think that's really great and only the (more expensive) Plus version has adjustable output quantities (medium, large...)

Now we're considering whether it was the right choice. For the first time our question to the local professionals:

- The Saeco has a separate milk unit, which I feel is an advantage because the machine itself has no contact with the milk. Or am I wrong? Most other manufacturers also used a hose and a common outlet. What is better?
- In the price range <600€ the Melitta Caffeo CI is often recommended here - but it does not have a ceramic grinder, which in my opinion is much better?!
- Another alternative is the Siemens EQ.6 S300 a good and round impression - what do you think?

Best thanks for your contributions, we are still at the very beginning of the learning process wink.gif

Much greetings,
Matze

Da muss man selbst entscheiden wie man da vorgehen will.

Siemens recommendable? What star are you from? Ceramic grinders are not more expensive than steel cone grinders. Have a look at the prices of a Jura Aroma + opposite a Saeco ceramic. Steel disc grinders are mostly used in gas turbines, as metal conducts the waste heat much better than ceramic.
