Why does small coffees taste much better than big?

Hi. Why does my Siemens eq 5 make different taste when I selecting the size of the cup?
When I select it to make a small cup it create ok coffee. But when I select big cup it does not taste any good.
I have of course cleaned it but that does not help.

Probably because the amount of powder always remains the same.
Just as an example: small coffee with 7 grams of coffee powder and about 80ml of waterlarge
coffee also with 7 grams of powder but with 160ml of water
