Siemens EQ.500 : After calcnclean coffee cup 1/2

Has anyone heard / had this before? After the calc n clean today the coffee cup is only 1/2 full. Taking it off the mains / factory reset have no effect .
What could be the reason ?

The appliance has now been checked. According to this, the pump, flow heater and vibration damper probably need to be replaced.
What I don't understand is that everything still worked until the cleaning / descaling.
Can this be normal, is it normal that these parts are defective / worn out after approx. 4 years?
What causes this, the coffee, limescale? And despite the water filter and regular descaling and cleaning ?
