Melitta Barista T F37 stopped

I am trying to repair a Melitta Barista T TYP F 37 / 0-10. The issue is the following: When making coffee, it starts to grind the beans, it waits a bit and then it displays a message 'stopped'. It cleans itself and shows a message 'refill beans'. It did however grind the beans correctly as I can see the result in the waste bin.

I did a full cleaning of the inside of the machine (removed covers etc) I removed all old coffee, but the problem persists. Also notice that when making coffee using the ground-coffee (so not beans), it makes coffee just fine.

I'm happy to replace the broken part if I knew what it was. The grinder seems to work fine. Or does it need replacing? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
