Hello together,

When descaling or drawing hot water, the FI always flies out. When making coffee everything runs without problems.

I opened the machine and started the hot water process and could see water coming out of one of the parts. I guess the water coming out is causing a short circuit somewhere.

To the experts: What is this component (see picture) and is it worth replacing the thing? Or are the costs for a replacement too high?

Machine is a DeLonghi ECAM 23.450.

Many thanks already times

This is the steam heater. Where exactly does the water come out?

I only see that droplets form at the bottom of the heater. The longer you pull water the faster the drops come. The water then seeks its way down (you can see the running tracks there on the black projection). I suspect that with the lid closed the drops over the cables to somewhere cause a short.

Have the picture times downloaded and enlarged. You can see the traces on the heater.
Pull times at the upper water connection the red protection away whether it came from there or whether the heater has a hole. You have to see for yourself.
The new heating loop costs about 30€. It's worth it.

Thank you very much.
As soon as time is and I have replaced the heater I will report.
