I have overhauled my Impressa C5 and exchanged all parts relating to the water system (new boiler, pump, etc). I've also cleaned the brewing group, and changed the gaskets and cap within the drainage valve.

The issue is that no coffee is dispensed through the mouthpiece. Instead, the hot water flows through the drainage valve directly into the tray (likewise with the dry, grounded, beans). One thing that I've noticed since the disassembly is that the magnet is noisy and has a sharp "brrrr"-sound to it.

I've taken everything apart a couple of times, checked all the gaskets and screws (both the Brewing unit and drainage valve) - and truth to be told the machine is driving me crazy. Any ideas? Is the magnet faulty, or can it be the drainage valve?

Thanks, smile.gif

Hi Almaty, thanks for the reply! Here's the link:

Ok, so the issue with the magnet was that the cap wasn't fully hammered to the pin. I've doubled checked that the flat sides of the two thick gaskets are facing outwards towards both the valve and the springloaded pin. Still, water is flowing through the valve. wacko.gif

Update: The machine managed to brew three cups of coffee, albeit it now continues to dispense water in the tray. dry.gif
