Set the grinding time for Krups EA850B

For a Krups EA850B I want to set the grinding time for the grinder. After a longer coffee break (2 months) I wanted to have a coffee again, but the grinder grinds only about 3 seconds and finish. No decent coffee comes out of it ://

In the "submenu" it says 8 sec. and it was always so long. now although it says 8 sec. it makes only 3 sec. Can I change it in the menu? Is there a trick to that?
