Coffee undrinkable after descaling

Good morning everyone. I have a DeLonghi Ecam, after doing the descaling the coffee constantly smells sour.
I think something went wrong during the descaling process? I have redone the descaling process with distilled water only, to "clean off" any acid left, but no dice.... Has this happened to anyone? Any advice on what to do?

Possibly the machine heats up again higher after descaling, could imagine the lowering of the brewing temperature (if that is adjustable) brings the desired success.
