Hello each other,

Our CS5000 is unfortunately causing more and more problems. We have been living with the fact for some time now that the BG does not drive completely into the "off position" after being switched off. The result is that removing it for cleaning is a bit cumbersome, but otherwise it worked. On the weekend my wife drew espresso and pressed the 1-cup button again during the grinding process by mistake. Since then the grinding process is much too short, at most 2 seconds. Is anyone aware of this? Is there any way to perform a factory reset? After more than 6 years and more than 12-13000 covers a repair is probably not worthwhile any more.

Many thanks in advance.

Jörg

Beans out, select a few cups without beans and ignore error message. Then fill the bean container again, during the next few cups the grinding time should level off again.

Because of the off position: brewing group and drive are smooth-running and greased? If yes, change the reed board.

Switching AEG off Switching on I already knew what it was like.

Beans out-Beans in...that's new. But it works. Thank you very much, sir.

Then I will probably start looking for a reed board. biggrin.gif

Good morning,

it took a while, but I just changed the reed board.

But the BG still doesn't drive into the right off position. Any other ideas? I guess now I have one working reed board left. And a set of Torx bits with hole.....

Edit 1 hour later

>I have now disassembled, cleaned and lubricated the BG again. Now it at least goes out again, even if it still hakelt something.

The O-rings showed now also spontaneous violent wear. Can you get them anywhere without having to pay 5 Euro for shipping ? The broth is more expensive than the potatoes mad.gif

Write a message to looser about the O-rings.

Because of the removal position. Maybe the drive has a bit of wear.
Many machines hook up a bit.
If it's your own and you only put the BG in and out when you are allowed to - machine out - you can also remove the locking hook on the brewing group. If you ever sell this machine, put the ratchet back in;
