Sugar in the grinder

Hello to the forum,
I have a big problem. My daughter wanted to be extra sweet to dad and has inside Krups EA891D dumped the sugar into the bean compartment. Unfortunately, without telling us. And so it came as it had to come...In the morning the machine started and heard the crunch.
How harmful is it ? Can it still be saved ? Any tips?
