Hello! ????????♂️
Happy Whitsun first!
I have the following problem: the coffee of my Tchibo Esperto Caffe tastes since today suddenly watery. In addition, I notice that the coffee grounds are not pressed in a circle in the drip tray as usual, but rather loose - this was never the case.
First of all, the problem arose after a cleaning process with durgol cleaning tablets, which I used for the first time, so the problem could possibly be caused by this, or by incorrect use? The machine is 4 years old, but had never had problems before. Since the Esperto Caffe does not have a cleaning program (only a descaling program), I applied the tablets as the instructions describe for a pad machine (like Senseo). For this, I dissolved two tablets in a cup of water, poured them into the water tank, and turned the machine on and off 6 times each time, so that the machine rinses each time. This also loosened some of the coffee residue. The brew group I then also soaked in water with two tablets. Then cleaned everything by hand and let the machine run through a few times with clear water. After that I ran the descaling program, here everything also went as usual.
This morning I expected that the coffee might taste even better than usual because of the cleaning, instead as I said a watery coffee and the coffee grounds unusually loose.
What could be the problem? Did I possibly damage something when cleaning with the tablets?
I would appreciate any tips or thoughts.
LG, David
