How to set Quickmill Monza mill?

I would like to change the grind of my Monza. It says in the manual that I should do this while the system is running. But as soon as I open the door, the Monza switches to standby.
Is there a trick?

I got it there. Below the lock there is a square recess. If you hold a magnet in front of it, it also works with the door open. Very strange that this is not mentioned in the manual...
