I have a coffee machine of the brand Schaerer Coffee Joy.
Unfortunately, the coffee machine does not make coffee anymore and does not respond to pressing display buttons.
The following message appears on my display; "Temp.sensor steam".

I have already tried several solutions;
- The plug out and in.
- Let the machine cool down (this is the advice of the manual)
- Flushing the machine does not work. The machine does not respond to the display buttons.
- I have cleaned the steam head. (No idea if the sensor is in here?)

When looking up a little more it seems like the boiler or sensor needs to be changed. How could I do this? Does anyone know where to locate it and how to change it?

Thanks a lot in advance.

95% of the time, the temperature sensor on the steam boiler is defective. You can replace it yourself. Is just a Fummlei.
Google times after "temperature sensor WMF 800"
Is identical to your machine

Thanks,

I ordered the temperature sensor you suggested. It should be compatible with the Schaerer Coffee Joy. Unfortunately, after completely screwing open the machine. I'm not able to find the old temperature sensor so I can replace it with the new one.

Could anyone explain more into detail where to find it and how it can be replaced?

Thanks a lot in advance.

The temperature sensors sit at the top of the heater. The old one you have to get out,
I then use a long drill that I turn with my fingers to get the rest of the sensor and also the silicone stuff that is in the hole out. The hole is about 5cm deep.

In the neighboring forum (Kaffeewelt) there is a downloadable manual. But you have to be logged in.

Schlawi is right, the temperature sensor must be removed by hand. Nix with cordless drill or so. Otherwise you have drilled through the boiler and then it will be really expensive.
Do not forget thermal paste ...
