Hello, I'm new here.
Bought a Jura E8 this week. Great device, so far. The nice young man in the Euronics market who allegedly has his own KVA workshop (the market, not the young man) urgently recommended me to sign a maintenance contract for 8€ per month. This includes all types of repairs, because once a year you should
have it done.

But almost 100€ a year? Apart from the fact that you have the manufacturer's warranty for the first 25 months, is that really necessary1) to give the device to the workshop so often and 2)

to conclude

a contract for it

?

It is not an office device but stands at home for approx. 5 cups per day

.
I am quite experienced with fully automatic machines, the first Saeco (imported from Switzerland in 1997) still had a boiler and a sheet metal housing, 10 years later pure scratchy Delonghi ESAM 4000B, which still works today, and finally a terrible Bosch Vero dingsprofessional. Except decalcifying and cleaning there was never anything to
do.

Honestly? I think it's moneymaking. I have a 17 year old Jura S9 with almost 12000 covers. This was the first time after 8 years for repair and now also just now. The Jura customer service has two fixed all-inclusive prices, it will never be more expensive than 220 € and if they have to replace everything. A suitable box is sent to you, postage and insurance are paid.

I would save the 100 € per year, if it must be a new law after all wink.gif
