Best filter coffee machine (s)?

I've been lurking here for a while and am just starting to pull the trigger on some equipment. I'm starting with the Baratza Encore grinder and was looking for recommendations on good filter coffee makers to go with it. I think it will be a while before I start getting into things like espresso or even pour over.

I'm really just looking for something simple to use in the morning for fresh coffee that I can bring to work (the coffee we have at the office is terrible).



Does anyone have any suggestions in mind?

Have you thought about using the plunger coffee maker? I have compared it with the filter coffee maker and personally, I can't live without it. I find that the aromas and taste are better preserved. After that, you have to like coffee that is a little stronger... ????
