Grinder became slower and slower

Grinder became slower and slower, has the last couple of days only very slowly ground, it sounded like the grinder would be very stiff, and stopped today. When I select a coffee is briefly brewed, some water runs into the cup and ready, ie, the mechanical brewing process works as far as I can judge it. If anyone knows this sympthom, what could it be. Have repaired my old Saeco and have a little prior knowledge, doe with this model I do not know.
