Fuse fails, when switched on

Hello,
for 2 years and 2 months we have been using a WMF10. She always ran perfectly. Then, after it was used in the morning, after it was switched on in the evening, suddenly the fuse on the ground floor fell out. The power is probably still there (the lamp lights up briefly red), but after a second everything fails.
At WMF I was told that the repair cost about 70 €. Can there be such a big problem?

Circuit breaker defective. Plug it into another room and see if it works there. If so, replace the circuit breaker in the fuse box.
